Since early Tech reports and notes for this upcoming Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition becomes visible to most of computer enthusiasts, right now, it becomes more clearer as report tells us that this upcoming device might hit the Apple Mac Pro and will probably be experience by most of Mac users this coming March 2010. This long-awaited and probably the first to rise from a six-core processor device might be one of the fastest computing tools over the other workstation as Apple and Intel make a deals for it.
First, previous reports tells us that Gulftown (code name) might be called Core i9 which is seems to fill the slot of i7 Extreme range. Right now, there's an Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition which is running on the top speed of 3.33GHz processing speed which support Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost. There are predictions that this upcoming processor might over-power the current one with its new 12-cores and 24-threads from the current 6-core and 12-threads Xeon.
